Cheaper still to buy berries and chocolates and make my own. The real thing is the surprise and delight of receiving them at work.
For $50 I'll just work from home and deliver some chocolates meself

go to the store and buy chocolates and strawberries and dip them together as a V-day activity. (but you gutta clean the pots after )

Get some good dark chocolate, heat up some heavy cream, pour onto chocolate, then mix. A 1:1 ratio by weight should be fine.
That's the gist of it, even without shipping it's still a lot of money for strawberries dipped in ganache.

It is a lot for strawberries but part of it is the sur prise of getting them at work.
We live literally a cross the street from a strawberry farm so we make chocolate covered strawberries a couple times a year. I usually just do straight chocolate.

My wife is taking my d au ghter a softball clinic tonight. I think my son and I are going to make some tonight and I’ll sneak some in to their lunch.

i actually like this idea, i might grab some to do with my kids before the wife and I go out for dinner T hursday. I was just going to get cupcakes like i had in the past but this might be healthier / less likely to leave kids jacked up on sugar for the babysitter.

Ah, noted.
Maybe this is why I'm still single.

Well, just email her a card with that on the inside, and an offer to a good dinner instead.
She will understand.
